WW2 Swedish NIFE Anti Aircraft  8 x 50 Binoculars

Our first set of these, and I have to say, they really are impressive and beautifully engineered. They come with their original transit case. Nife were Swedens answer to Carl Zeiss in the War.

Highly polished body with brass fittings and adjustments. Mounted on later yet vintage Swiss military tripod. A true statement piece for the office or coastal home.

The WW2 Swedish NIFE anti-aircraft binoculars were a crucial piece of equipment used by the Swedish military during the Second World War. Designed for high-performance observation, these binoculars were built with a robust and durable structure, intended to withstand the demanding conditions of military use. The NIFE binoculars featured a 7×50 magnification, offering excellent clarity and a wide field of view, essential for tracking fast-moving aircraft. They were equipped with a prismatic design, providing precise optical alignment and minimising distortion.

The body of the binoculars was made from metal, often with a textured coating for better grip and durability. The lenses were coated to reduce glare and enhance visibility, even in bright light conditions. These binoculars were typically mounted on tripods or other stabilising equipment, allowing for steady use during prolonged observation sessions.

They became a valuable tool for air defence units, assisting in target identification and engagement during the war.

Their Swedish engineering and precision optics made them highly regarded among military personnel.
