WW1 C Class Submarine Attack Periscope

Barr & Stroud Periscope from a c class submarine of The Royal Navy

38 of them were constructed between 1905-1910, they served through the war to end all wars, ww1

Prior to C class, the A, B class subs only had one periscope. To increase the range of vision, they added this second type periscope to the C class

Both were raised by hand, one for the captain and one for the look-out man who continuously swept the horizon

Adjustable focal eyepiece, spring action fold down handles

Optics are in good condition, the image is extremely good considering its over 100 years old and has been to sea through war

We recommend that you come to see it and assess the view yourself so that you are happy

Price tag is based on scarcity and historical value. I know only three that are complete and being used in private collections.
