Original Standard Equipment Divers Chest – Green

Anthony Pardoe Notes

Page 195 vol 2 Diving Helmets and Equipment Through The Ages

Diving Chests when supplied from the factory contained a complete set of standard equipment; and was used by the diver as a seat when being dressed.

The early chests were made of wood and the later ones of marine plywood. They are divided into two compartments; the smaller for the helmet, the larger one with dividing timbers fixed on the base to hold the breast weights and boots. The suit and other items go on the top.

Trinity’s Notes

Super storage chests and a nice bit of diving heritage. Stencilled with their stock numbers and chest divers, they are also alphabetical labelled in hand written marker.

They are overall in good condition , though as to be expected from their history they do show signs of use.

The corners are bound by metal edging and they have carrying handles to either side of the chest.
