Measure your cloud layers, your homes ceiling height, or just provide the corner of your room with a gorgeous, interesting and very rare up light.

One of our favourite objects of the last few years, based on its scarcity, analogue allure and its decorative charm.

This is a ceilometer, an essential piece from an Admiralty meteorological kit that is the old way of measuring the base height of cloud layers. Scarce in the fact that in 40 years of dealing with the MOD equipment like this we have only ever seen two. As sculpturally attractive as it is interesting.

Heavy cast iron body with bronze frame, adjustable feet and fittings. Stunning parabolic mirror.
