HMS Recruit Gun Tompion 1943
HMS Recruit was an Algerine Class Minesweeper
Built by Harland & Wolff Ltd, Belfast.
She was active with the 7th Mine Sweeping Flottilla, which led the massive invasion fleet from Portsmouth Roads across the channel to the Normandy beach-heads.
Operated in the Red Sea during 1947-1948. Scrapped in September 1965.
