Circa 1889 Superb Rare Ship’s Figurehead – Classical Lady
A stunning and rare figure head of a classical lady holding a palm and set on a tapering stem , carved relief with nautical emblems and scrolls.
Set on an oak fixing bracket.
Very similar and could be attributed to the workshop of William Impey working in Blackwall and Poplar London, from 1889-1894.
This figurehead has been professionally assessed by Richard Hunter , Figurehead Historian.
