Low Three-Legged Stool by Pierre Jeanneret
One of the ‘grail pieces’ of Pierre Jeanneret. A true collectors piece as there is reputed to be less than ten pieces ever made. We have seen only two in 15 years and this is the best one by far. We found it in Chandigarh in 2006 and it has been in our collection since. Bought just a few hours before the author of ‘ Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret: The Indian Adventure’, saw it, this being the actual stool in the photograph on page 572
Literature : Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret: The Indian Adventure, Eric Touchaleaume and Gerald Moreau, p. 572
Denoted in the book as ‘VR’, ‘Very Rare – Only 1-10 pieces
Dimensions:
42cm wide x 36cm tall
