Royal Canadian Navy Ships Binnacle C.1940’s.

A traditional ‘Wartime’ design of Warship binnacle with teak trunk and brass fittings, once in the wheelhouse of a Canadian Destroyer.

Acquired as part of a huge collection of ex Canadian Naval artefacts we brought back from Vancouver Island a long time ago and one that’s been in our stores ever since, the mightily impressive ships binnacle is of a quality rarely seen.

Fully re-furbished and fully complete, a sculptural piece with an interesting pedigree and from the Cold War era.

Made under license in Canadian branch of Kelvin Bottomley & Baird and installed by builders Canadian Vickers of Montreal.

The original compass illumination has been updated and its operable with silk flex and inline switch.
